The Ombudsman offers educational services that aim to promote good administration in the Victorian public service and its agencies and to raise awareness of the Ombudsman in the community.

For the community

Information sessions

Information sessions and workshops are available to all community groups. The focus of these sessions is to raise awareness of the Ombudsman and to increase access to the office, in particular for people who are disadvantaged or marginalised and/or lack the capacity to make a complaint. Topics can include:

  • The role of the Victorian Ombudsman
  • The type of complaints the Ombudsman can enquire into or investigate
  • Tips for dealing with government agencies
  • How to make a complaint to the Ombudsman

Regional visits

To ensure all Victorians have access to his office, the Ombudsman, the Deputy Ombudsman and Ombudsman officers conduct visits to regional and outer metropolitan locations around Victoria.
