Additional funding for integrity sector reforms

The Victorian Ombudsman welcomes the announcement of additional funding as part of reforms to strengthen Victoria’s integrity sector.
Despite this step forward, it is disappointing that the additional funding allocated to our organisation fails to address the ongoing underfunding.
Until this is addressed, Victorians cannot be assured we have sufficient resources or funding to meet the community’s needs and work towards our vision of a Victoria that is fair.
We look forward to continuing our work as part of the government’s Expert Reference Group to progress further reforms that would enable us to better meet the community's expectations.
